East Milton Water System, Inc. would like to encourage our customers/residents to read the information listed below and participate in the surveys sited below. We feel it is vitally important that our customers/residents have a voice in the master plan for the East Milton Area. There are also community workshops that have been scheduled, however at this time we do not know the time of day these community workshops are to be scheduled. Please reach out to the Santa Rosa County Planning and Zoning Office for the scheduled time of these community workshops.


Santa Rosa County Launches East Milton Master Plan Survey to Gather Public Input

Santa Rosa County invites residents, property owners, and stakeholders in the East Milton area to help shape the future of their community by participating in an online survey now available through June 30, 2025.

The survey is part of the East Milton Master Plan, a long-range planning effort designed to guide responsible growth, land use, transportation, and infrastructure decisions in one of the county’s fastest-growing areas. The goal is to build a vision that reflects the values and needs of the East Milton community — and that vision starts with your voice.

Project Timeline Highlights

  • Public Input Period (May 1 – June 30) Online survey open to the public.

  • Stakeholder Meetings (May 5 – May 30) Targeted discussions with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders.

  • Public Charettes / Community Workshops

    • June 30: First public meeting at East Milton Park (Multipurpose Building).

    • Aug. 25: Second public meeting to review proposed plan elements.

  • County Staff Meetings (July 7 – Sept. 18) Internal coordination with departments and agencies.

  • Zoning Board & BOCC Review

    • Sept. 18: Plan advertisement

    • Oct. 9: Zoning Board Meeting

    • Oct. 23: Board of County Commissioners Meeting

  • Plan Implementation (2026) The adopted plan will inform future zoning updates and land development code amendments.
